November 20th 2020 Meeting – Randy Attwood “Apollo 13 – The Flight That Failed”

The Royal Astronomical Society of Canada – London Centre Astronomy Club Meeting will be hosted on-
line using Zoom. The meeting is open to all members and the public.

Fifty years ago, NASA launched its third mission to land two people on the Moon. On the third day of the flight, a serious problem forced the cancellation of the plans for the lunar landing and started a race to get the astronauts home alive. In this talk, Randy will detail all the things that had to go right to save the Apollo 13 crew.
