May 16, 2025 Members Night – Come See Our Members Presentations

We’ve planned this month as a member’s night: this means that we’re relying on you all to speak up and share. Have you got a new piece of gear you’d like to discuss? An image you’ve taken that you think we’d like to hear about? Questions about how to best observe or what kind of equipment you might need to move forward in the hobby?  Have a cool video you think we should see?  Bring it!

The cold weather is (probably?) behind us, and the days are only getting longer, so now is the time to peer at the night sky.  We’ll have our technology set up to show your stuff and an audience participate with.

Our meeting will begin at 7:30pm. You can attend in person at the Cronyn Observatory on the Western campus, or join us via Zoom at:

Star Parties!
We have received a number of requests for putting on Star Parties this summer. Can you lend a hand?  Want to come out and learn how we run these events?  Feel like just being a part of the action?  Keep and eye on the forums and have a listen to things at the next meeting where we’ll share what’s going on. We need you, and outreach is one of our mandates…which means that you get to be an important part of promoting interest in astronomy in the London area!

Upcoming Courses
We’ve got some workshops and courses that are coming along this year. Have your say in how they’re run and/or participate! We’ve brought it up at meetings lately, but plans are getting finalised. You are invited and encouraged to be a part of these cool events.
