Kettle Creek - Lake Whittaker / Dalewood Conservation Area Star Party, Aug 9th or 10th

Post by Norman McCall » July 6th, 2019, 1:33 pm

I have received a request to have a Star Viewing Event at either (or both) Lake Whittaker and the Dalewood Conservation Area.

Lake Whittaker is located south-east of London Star Party off of Highway 73 south of the 401. Dalewood is located just to the north of St. Thomas.

The best nights are either a Friday or Saturday evening.

Please let me know if you are able to support this event.

Thanks,

Norm McCall

I have set the night for Friday, August 9th arriving at 20:00 hours with sunset at 20:36. The Moon will be in last quarter. If it is cloudy or raining the fall back is Saturday, August 10.

The event will be at Dalewood Conservation area to the north of St. Thomas.

Hello All,

This confirms the plan to have a stargazing event on Friday, August 9th at Dalewood Conservation Area just north of St. Thomas.

For directions, see: https://www.google.com/maps/place/Kettl ... 81.1800358

As the sun sets around 8:35 PM, I suggest getting there between 7:30 and 8:00 PM.
